ABOUT ME

Born in USA, 1962

2014-2016 Studied at Full Sail University, Florida

Weeda, a native New Yorker fell in love with writing at an early age. The classic Broadway plays influenced her love for the arts as she took advantage of the vibrant culture that was at her disposal. She quickly acknowledged her calling and moved forward in obtaining her place in the Art community.

Her first love was writing plays until she encountered the art of screenwriting. It changed her life, and she finally knew what her gift to the world would be. Her screenplays are suspense drama and woman interest stories that give a glimpse into the human soul allowing each to capture the strength to persevere.

Weeda has taken her passion a step further and created an inner-city community-based organization called The Kids Playhouse, Inc. Her objective is to assist children in the realization of self so that they will gain a profound respect for others, and eventually, a burning desire for life, which she execute through improvisation and theater games.

From 2009 until the present, Weeda is working as the creative director for Rose's Academy, a girl's group home in Palm Coast, Florida. Weeda's purpose for Rose's is to take the young wounded souls and transform them into dynamic individuals through the arts. Weeda believes that a generation that acknowledges its creativity is a generation that will consistently move forward.

Weeda is currently working on Voices in the Dark a monolog that amplifies the cries of sexually abused children.
